This furnace is listed it is available for purchase Bryant (Carrier) 80,000 BTU Preferred Series Plus 90t High Efficiency 92.
5% 2-Stage Gas Furnace Model 352AAV036080 Low Stage 52,000 BTU Input 48,000 BTU Output High Stage 80,000 BTU Input 74,000 BTU Output This is a very well made 2-Stage 92.
5% High Efficiency Gas Furnace in excellent condition! It’s from a smoke-free home and you can tell by the condition it was C4, regular filter changes etc.
This makes a difference.
Furnaces that are kept clean, regular filter changes, from a smoke free environment typically last much longer.
All important components….
heat exchanger, gas valve, blower motor, draft inducer and control board….
.
work properly.
Bryant is a Carrier company and basically the same furnace, same parts etc.
A two-stage furnace is noticeably more efficient, it provides more consistent heat, and typically last longer also.
Most of the time it runs in the low stage mode (for this furnace that’s 52,000 BTU input) and when the temperature drops and more power is needed, the second stage kicks in and you have a full 80,000 BTU.
Furnaces with more heat capacity than is needed turn on and off much more frequently, as a result, they need more repairs and don’t last as long.
Furnaces with less heat capacity then is needed have to work harder to keep up, that’s also not good so they don’t last as long and need more repairs.
Two stage furnace like this one, operates at the power level needed, so would not only saves energy cost, the furnace and its components last longer.
This is a high-efficiency furnace - 92.
5% AFUE (efficiency).
A typical 80% AFUE Furnace has an output of 64,000 BTU - this one 80,000 BTU input provides a full 74,000 BTU output.
So much more of the energy or natural gas you’re using is converted into heat.
This would be an excellent choice to use in a up to approximately 2000 sq ft or for a use to heat a garage.
A high-efficiency furnace like this uses PVC pipe for venting so it’s easier to install then an 80% efficiency furnace which must be vented with galvanized pipe through the ceiling.
I’ve had a few people ask how old this is.
This furnace was manufactured 18 years ago.
The condition is much more important than the age however.
And this one is an excellent condition.
