*Assistant Speech and Debate Coach Job Posting*

Support the high school speech and debate program by assisting in the planning and execution of team practices, tournaments, banquets, and events.

Provide guidance to students in developing effective communication and debate skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
3.
Assist in researching and selecting debate cases, ensuring relevance and engagement for student interests.
4.
Aid in the preparation of students for tournaments, including coaching on argumentation, research, and delivery techniques during weekday practices held in the afternoons and evenings.
5.
Collaborate with the head coach to create and implement effective training programs that align with competition standards and team goals.
6.
Foster a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship among students, encouraging a supportive and respectful atmosphere within the speech and debate community.
7.
Assist in the assessment and feedback process for student performances, helping them refine their skills and reach their full potential.
8.
Stay informed about current trends, rules, and formats in speech and debate competitions, ensuring the team remains competitive.
9.
Assist in the coordination of logistics for team travel to competitions, including transportation, accommodations, and other necessary arrangements.
10.
Act as a liaison between students, parents, and school administration, effectively communicating program goals, achievements, and any relevant information.
11.
Maintain standards of professional appropriateness for a public school environment while working in Perry Local Schools and at school-related events and tournaments.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $3,500.
