Junior Camp Counselor - Summer 2024

Description: Shaw JCC has the summer job for high school students - Junior Camp Counselors for 2024 Summer Camp! This position is ideal for anyone looking for a summer job that enjoys being with kids (ages 6-14 years old) and being active and outside.
Our camp program is ten (10) weeks (June 10th - August 16th) so we are flexible with pre-planned vacations.
The Junior Camp Counselor will assist the Camp Counselor with programs within the camp groups.
The Junior Counselor is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of each camper and creating a memorable experience.
Other duties and responsibilities include: · Assist with drop-off and pick-up of campers daily · Ensure campers are properly supervised based on ratio · Ensure campers are accounted for throughout the day · Assist the Camp Counselors with programs and activities · Encourage campers to participate and engage in activities · Other responsibilities as assigned Requirements: Education/Experience: High school student or graduate Must be a minimum of 16 years of age with reliable transportation Experience with school age children a plus First Aid & CPR certification preferred
