Join us! Position: The Business Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to train and partner with experienced Portfolio Directors, Project and Program Managers, and Delivery Leads, acting as a liaison for our IT teams and all other functional partners.
Our intern will bridge the communication gap between product owners, business partners, and software development teams by identifying and translating business requirements into written user requirements and system specifications for software development and release.
In addition, the individual will have the opportunity to lead project management activities such as meetings, identification of project risks and opportunities, status reporting, and milestone identification and tracking.
This individual will also be intricately embedded in project management and delivery teams, learning the multi-faceted aspects and activities that bring IT initiatives to life.
They will report to the Director of Portfolio Management for Store Operations and Service Solutions.
Responsibilities: Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models, and flowcharts, and technical specifications.
Provide project management with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements; assist the team in developing solutions.
Ensure the applications development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with the quality assurance team.
Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards.
Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups as well as oversee and execute follow-up activities.
Gather and write clear and well-structured business requirements and other project/product team documentation.
Assist with project management and project communication for selected projects/product teams.
Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
Develop and maintain status reporting tools with Project Managers and Delivery Leads.
Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
Conduct Lessons Learned with the PM for project initiatives.
Collaborate with product managers on roadmap planning and backlog.
Coordinate with different IT and business teams to improve productivity and communication.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in business, project management, information technology, computer science.
Graduation date of May 2025 preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional demeanor, with the ability to work remotely and take direction from senior team members.
Working knowledge of basic project management processes and requirements documentation, awareness of IT software development lifecycles, and/or Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies is a plus.
Interest in the field of Project Management & Business Analysis, Information Technology, Retail System Enhancements that drive customer satisfaction, retention, new product offerings, and overall market share.
Experience with any or all tools is a plus: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, Atlassian Tools (Jira, Kanban Boards, etc.
), and SharePoint.
Work Environment: Remote: open to all candidates regardless of location The salary range for this opportunity is $18.
00-$19.
50/hour.
Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
