Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a leading 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our dedicated team.
As a vital member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to pet owners during stressful and urgent situations, ensuring smooth communication between clients, veterinarians, and other hospital personnel.

*Duties include but are not limited to:*
· Greets clients and referring veterinarians with warmth and professionalism and provides compassionate and knowledgeable assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
· Answers phone calls promptly and manages high volume calls professionally and courteously, ensuring each client receives timely assistance.
· Check-in patients for appointments, procedures, and emergencies and concludes visits with check-out including scheduling follow-up appointments and payment processing.
· Schedules appointments for services, ensuring efficient coordination of client appointments and hospital resources.
· Maintains client and patient records and ensures confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Performs administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence with accuracy and efficiency.
· Assess client needs, clarify information, and offer solutions and alternatives to address their concerns effectively and accurately.
This includes staying updated on hospital policies, procedures, and services.
· Maintains reception and adjacent areas’ cleanliness and organization, including stocking supplies, vacuuming, and mopping.
*Qualifications:*
· Previous experience in customer service or veterinary reception preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathic demeaner.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in computer applications and ability to learn veterinary software systems.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Passion for animals and dedication to providing exceptional client care.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
*Physical Requirements:*
· Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
· Capacity to lift and carry supplies occasionally, up to 30 pounds unassisted.
· Capability to navigate hospital premises and assist clients in various areas as needed.
