Essential Responsibilities
Serve as the point of contact for all customer questions including product availability, pricing, shipment status, and respond to all customer issues and/or complaints.
Input orders with accuracy in regard to inventory availability, correct pricing, customer information, and requirements.
Set up new customers and maintain customer account information in the system.
Transfer order information from customer purchase orders, phone calls, emails, faxes, or portals (i.
e.
Elemica) into our system for order processing.
Communicate internally to proactively resolve any issues associated with processing an order.
Input customer information on transportation portals (i.
e Transplace) when needed for shipments.
Provide the customer, and the freight forwarder with all required shipping documents, including commercial invoices and other system-generated documentation.
Communicate professionally with customers and their corresponding account managers and agents/distributors.
Interact with various departments such as Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Marketing, Logistics, etc.
, to ensure customer requirements are met.
Assist with department cross training on international customer processes as required.
Performs other duties and projects as required.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years customer service/order processing experience; international customer service experience required; chemical or rubber/plastics manufacturing experience a plus.
Ability to answer product and service questions professionally.
Order fulfillment from initial receipt to delivery of product.
Ability to resolve customer complaints.
Familiar with customer and/or transportation portals.
Qualifications & Competency Requirements
Knowledge of Export and Compliance procedures, including International Commercial terms.
Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
