*JOB DESCRIPTION* *JOB TITLE: DRIVER/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN * *GENERAL DESCRIPTION:* The primary role of the Driver/Behavioral Heath Technician (BHT) is as follows: 1.
Driving clients to and from facility; transporting new admissions to the clinic from referral source 2.
Assisting in managing the environment so that it is safe and therapeutic.
Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are expected to exercise significant initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties.
Work is reviewed by the Clinical Director or the Administrator through an evaluation of the timely and accurate completion of assignments.
*SUPERVISED BY: *Director of Business Development/Admissions *SUPERVISION EXERCISED:* None *DUTIES:* Supportive Services to Clients · Behavioral Technician/Driver is responsible for safe operations and maintenance of vehicles entrusted to their care · Drive clients to and from facility · Maintains order and ensures compliance with rules and regulations; ensures that clients conduct themselves in an orderly manner when in agency vehicles.
· Escorts clients on in-house meetings (some outside meetings, if applicable) · Escorts clients within building or to hospital or other services (if applicable) · Enforces program rules at all times · Reports any client behavioral issues to clinical staff · Responds appropriately to all medical and other emergencies · Reports to the supervisor any discrepancies in client’s whereabouts.
· Performs other duties, tasks and services as assigned by supervisor/designee MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A valid drivers license is a must Education and Training: High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge Drug and Alcohol abuse Sobriety: If recovering, minimum two years Continuous sobriety Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
