Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to support general office operations of Aultman Inpatient Medicine and to assist in revenue cycle integrity monitoring.
Job functions include communicating with practice leaders, physicians, APRN-CNPs, and CBO leadership to identify areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
Supporting the practice through use of the Cerner Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, and Ingenious software will be necessary to ensure success.
Onboarding in Ingenious can/will be provided, if necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
Audit practice billing for missing documentation, unentered charges, incomplete tasks to prevent loss of revenue
Responsible for open encounters and zero charge communication and tracking
Verify providers are capturing quality indicators and educate if missing
Understanding of hospital and medical terminology
Coordinate provider OPPE process by pulling charts from the medical record
Coordination with compliance regarding pulling charts and scheduling of audits, and follow up
Effective verbal and written communication with office staff, providers and AMG leadership
Meet/Exceed established productivity expectations

Answer incoming calls/emails and convey messages accurately and timely
Maintain organized system of record keeping
Complete safety evaluation, accreditation body education, Confidentiality, Information system usage, HIPAA corporate compliance education on an annual basis

Area of responsibilities of primary responsibilities include (and may not be limited to) Hospitalists, Neuro-hospitalists, Infectious Disease, and locums providers
Ensure updated information on employees (cell phone and pager numbers) are readily available and accessible for staff
Have a current schedule for locum services and AIM associated specialties accessible for providers
Scheduling of representatives as appropriate for practice and meeting with them when they arrive to office
Proficiently understand ICD10 and CPT codes/modifiers to support clinician charge entry
Maintain suitable knowledge of coding, compliance, governing bodies, and reimbursement policies according to the coding related to the specialty assigned to code
Desired Job Qualifications/Skill Sets
ICD10 / CPT coding experience preferred
Knowledge of accounts receivable goals and impacts
Ability to establish and organize daily workflow
Software proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Cerner EHR, MS Teams preferred
Ability to manage multiple demands from a variety of constituents
Previous Coding experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred
Medical knowledge or experience in medical setting preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
7:30am – 4:00pm M-F or hours as required by the job.
Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
