*Position Summary*
The Nurse's Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

*Qualifications:*
* Successful completion of a State Tested Nurse Aide training program.
Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
Registration with State registry required.
* Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicates effectively and performs simple arithmetic.
Ability to document care given.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, transfers, transports, escorts and exercising
* Gives treatments, performs tests, carries our procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
* Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests and procedures and specimens when indicated.
* Answers signal lights promptly.
* Change bed linens, make beds and keep rooms clean and orderly.
Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.
* Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
* Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
* Commits to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and Concordia policies and procedures.
