*GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION*
We are currently seeking a new team member in our Group Health Benefits department.
We strive to be an industry leader in customer service for internal and external agents and group health insurance clients.
We will be hiring a Group Health Benefits Administrator to join our established and growing independent agency.
We will consider both Full Time and Part Time candidates.
Estimated hours between 25 - 35 per week.
Must be currently licensed in the state of OH - Life/Health
*MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Assisting employers/agents with applications, changes, terminations
* Work with insurance companies
* Prepare new proposals and renewals for clients
* Handle correspondence and clerical processing of accounts
* Help clients make coverage changes
* Create and maintain relationships with new and existing clientele
* Educate clients, as well as agents, about policy coverage and carrier updates
* Answer phones
* Additional support duties as requested
*QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB*
Education: HS Diploma, Higher Education Preferred
License: *Required*
Experience: Minimum 2 years customer service experience; Health/Medical Insurance industry experience highly desirable
*KEY COMPETENCIES*
* Knowledge and Understanding of the Health Care and Health Insurance Market
* Knowledge and Understanding of Medicare Market
* Knowledge of Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word among other Industry Based Management Programs
* Ability to Multi-task
* Organizational and Problem Solving Skills
* Ability to Communicate well with Producers, Clients, and Carrier Representatives
* Self-Motivated with a Positive, Can-Do Attitude
* Work Well in a Team Environment
