Resident Care Associate/STNA Responsibilities include: Provide person directed personal care to residents as assigned or needed.
Refer to the Resident Care Summary Report for residents on your assignment.
Answer call lights as soon as possible.
Assist residents with transportation to the dining room and activities.
Assist residents in dining room with serving, cutting food, and clearing dishes.
Adhere to laundry schedule for the area assigned.
Report to nurse any problems or concerns with any resident as soon as possible.
Report to nurse at the beginning and end of your shift and breaks.
Round on every assigned resident a minimum of once every 2 hours or as directed by nurse.
Complete walking rounds with adjoining shifts each workday.
Chart as directed including shower sheets.
Complete monthly weights as directed.
Complete monthly education requirements.
Utilize the walkie talkie system, leaving the volume to an audible level during working hours.
Remove trash and dispose in proper receptacle by end of shift and replace bags.
Notify nurse of any resident supply needs.
Tidy resident room as needed.
Utilize the time clock system for clocking in and out and for your meal breaks if appropriate.
Flexibility in work duties and schedule, including an occasional rotation in sections or units.
Ideal candidate: Must be mature and emotionally stable.
Must have an understanding of safety procedures with the care of residents.
Must have patience and use tact when caring for residents.
Must possess some initiative and judgement to provide person-centered care.
Must be willing to work under supervision and to cooperate with other staff.
Must be dressed in appropriate uniform with name tag.
* Job Requirements: Schedule will have a required every other weekend shifts Job Type: Part-time Pay: $14.
