[FEU] The selected candidate may be offered a position within the same job family, at a level that is lower than what was posted.
This will be determined based upon the results of the interview process which considers the candidate's skills, work history, experience level, and other relevant qualifications.
This position reports to the Manager, Residential Programs in Energy Efficiency.
This position will be classified as Mobile with primary work location as home, but may work at or visit a facility, based on business need.
This position helps support the Residential Program Team in the implementation of Residential and Low-Income Energy Efficiency Programs.
This position will be required to cover a variety of responsibilities that cross multiple Energy Efficiency functions but will have primary responsibilities to execute daily tactical project management tasks overseeing program administration and assisting in development of program documentation.
This position provides the opportunity for frequent interaction with external vendors, project teams, leadership, and various Corporate Support groups, which necessitates strong communication skills.
Responsibilities include: Managing implementation process of Residential energy efficiency programs to achieve legislated energy efficiency and peak demand reduction targets in one, or more, of FirstEnergy’s Electrical Distribution Companies (EDC) located in NJ, PA, MD, WV and OH; implementation process includes start-up and continued oversight of programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and Company vision, managing program budgets, and creating a positive customer experience.
Managing selected vendor of residential program Managing marketing efforts of Residential Energy Efficiency programs, including oversight of internal marketing activities and oversight of external marketing activities by contractors and vendors Contract management including invoice review Developing budgets and forecasts Ensuring accurate reporting and quality assurance/quality control Developing gap closure plans, when needed Participating and/or leading cross functional working groups in the development of energy efficiency plans, development of Request for Proposal (RFP) of developed plans, selection of vendors/contractors through bid selection, negotiation, and launch of implementation process.
Driving continuous process improvement Assisting in development and review of regulatory filings and presentations Participation in Working Group activities with regulatory bodies or other EDC’s Attending and participating in customer education, promotional and outreach events Following trends in energy efficiency technology and industry standards Qualifications at the Business Analyst level includes: Two- or four-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related discipline is preferred, with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience required.
In lieu of a degree, 7 years relevant, direct, related experience will be required.
Relevant experience will include previous Energy Efficiency experience, customer service experience, IT experience, project management experience, and/or experience leading teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Qlikview, SharePoint, and SAP experience is a plus Project management experience is a plus Experience with budgeting and/or forecasting is a plus Technical aptitude Technical knowledge of residential electrical equipment is a plus Self-motivated, self-starter, customer focused, and results oriented Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize assignments within established deadlines Demonstrated abilities of effective analytical and reasoning capabilities, superior oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively structure and confidently present information to peers and leadership Superior analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations Ability to drive tasks to completion Forward thinking and able to anticipate next steps Ability to work independently and on teams Ability to travel 10% of the time based on program needs Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
