The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols.
Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes.
Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival and checking patients into department
Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in APM, updates both as necessary
Schedule appointments as necessary
Collect appropriate payments
Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer friendly processes
Work with clinical team staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Communicate with clinical / clerical personnel about service issues and complaints
Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas for coverage needs
Adhere to the standards identified in the Employee Policy Manual
Cooperate with other employees to achieve specific team goals
Completes other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
Previous experience with medical insurance
Prior experience with EMR computer applications
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of general office procedures
