3rd Shift - Shift Front Line Manager - Fab / Welding - BWX Technologies, Inc.

Responsibilities include:
Plans, directs and coordinates assigned shift activities across the plant requiring a thorough knowledge of techniques, processes, procedures, etc.
, for major fitting and welding or assembly and machining operations of the most complex nature.
Resolves unusual or complex problems and keeps other supervisory personnel informed at all times of unusual situations, potential difficulties and other facts which should be brought to their attention.
Schedules workload for shifts other than the one to which is assigned, when required.
Moves from one shift or shop to another as required or assigned.
Recommends improvements in shop operating procedures, policies and processes and may recommend the acquisition of additional or new equipment and machinery when costs and production problems dictate.
Resolves scheduling or personnel concerns which may cross-over various shop areas to assure established priorities are met and efficient operation is maximized
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a union environment.
Requires shop knowledge equivalent to four years' apprenticeship or two years' college or engineering school training.
Prefer experience in heavy fabrication, fitting and welding.
Must possess good leadership and strong communications skills.
Must be available for scheduled overtime.
