CommQuest seeks a Care Coordinator-Jail.
This role consists of working with the Stark County Jail on their new STAR program to provide aftercare to clients leaving jail.
Preform required SUD assessments in person giving a more quickly and smooth path to aftercare.
Assisting the current CDCA with needs to assure they can focus on current residential clients.
Also, will provide transportation and support directly from jail to services.

What you'll do:
Must demonstrate honesty and respectful communication with both co-workers and clients in order to optimize a trauma informed care environment which includes emotional, psychological, and physical safety.
Improve access to Care.
Orients new clients to the agency's treatment philosophy, hours of operation, service array, client rights/responsibilities, grievance procedure, confidentiality regulations, rules and regulations.
Requires experience working with adults/children with severe mental illness, and/or addiction recovery, and strong communication skills.
Provide crisis intervention as needed; and provides client and family education demonstrating competency in clinical progress notes, pre/post test scores, and supervisory observation.
All other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Candidates much be unemployed for the past six months to qualify for grant.
This is a Temporary (1 year), Full-Time position, Canton/Massillon campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work or a related field.
Certified/licensed as LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, or LICDC-CS.
One year of experience working as a chemical dependency counselor.
If working with adolescents, one year of experience working with adolescents.
Demonstrates knowledge of addiction, Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12-step programs, assessments, treatment plans, and individual and group counseling.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Must possess the ability to work with the public in general, at time of crisis situations, and under pressure while maintaining common sense and the ability to assess the situation quickly to respond to the vulnerable population CommQuest helps.
Must be able to communicate with clients, visitors, staff, etc.
using compassion and understanding.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, intermediate verbal and written communication skills, ability to show discretion when dealing with confidential information, good judgment, and organizational skills.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Must be physically able to stand and climb steps throughout the facility frequently according to shift responsibilities.
Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a driving record that is in compliance with agency insurance requirements.
Must pass background check in accordance with agency standards.
