As the Manager Respiratory Therapist Cardiopulmonary II, you will manage the daily operations of Cardiopulmonary Service.

Responsibilities:
Manages operational aspects of the department of 30 plus FTE’s.
Directs and coordinates activities of supervisory and educational personnel.
Responsible for orientation, evaluations and terminations of direct and indirect reports.
Researches and evaluates new technological developments and advances in clinical practice and promotes cost-effective policies and procedures while assuring optimal delivery of services.
Develops operating and capital budgets and action plans that address financial/productivity variances.
Assists with the development of departmental planning to include policies, procedures and protocols.
Organizes and participates in quality, engagement (employee satisfaction), patient, physician and other customer satisfaction processes.
Develops action plans to improve metrics associated with the noted processes.
At sites where applicable, the employee will perform blood gas puncture and analysis.
If the employee is designated as a Technical Consultant by the blood gas Laboratory Director, the employee must meet minimum qualifications as specified by the CLIA code of federal regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, an allied health field or a related field.
Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided for validation.
Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
Competencies (Complexity of Work):
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience to include critical care, medical/surgical, emergency department, cardiology and neurology management/operational experience (where applicable).
Physical Requirements:
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
May require sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
