The shipping/receiving clerk provides the initial inspection on incoming commercial items from suppliers and final quality check on the orders to the customer.

Position Description - Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Operates a forklift to load/unload trucks and to remove/replace items on inventory shelves.
Inspects, identifies, tags and receives all commercial items ordered from suppliers Packs items securely for shipment on UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL and truck shipments.
Uses current business system to print packing slips and identification tags for sales orders.
Works with purchasing to resolve discrepancies on incoming shipments from suppliers.
Pulls, issues and delivers items for job orders spare part orders, projects, and inventory.
Maintains an accurate inventory transaction in SAP.
Operates a handheld scanner and accurately counts inventory daily.
Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
Other tasks as assigned by manager The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.
The incumbent is obliged to perform tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

Education Mandatory High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).

Experience with ERP systems, SAP R3 a plus.
Professional Experience Mandatory Possess valid forklift license or willingness and ability to obtain license.
Desirable Ability and willingness to work on multiple projects at the same time.
