Compressor Technician I

Your role in our success:
This is a field operations position.
The position is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of AEO’s Compressor Station Facilities, Processing Plants, and all associated equipment as assigned.
Assists with project design, field inspection, and materials procurement for AEO compression and processing projects.
This position also assists with the coordination of all liquid removal, trucking logistics, and sample testing, as needed.
Assists in scheduling and supervision of contractors and other employees during compressor station maintenance, repair, and new construction.
Perform maintenance on all compressors, engines, dehydration units, MRU’s, filter/separators, and any other equipment; this also includes any general upkeep of the facility including, but not limited to, weed removal, pipeline coating, or any other operational needs.
Assists with emissions testing, record keeping, and inventory.
This position will be part of an on-call rotation and will cover a large geographic territory throughout Eastern Ohio.
Maintains operator qualifications to ensure proper compliance with any PUCO or PHMSA requirements.
What you'll be working on: Meet with equipment vendors and contractors to discuss potential system modifications and resolve equipment problems.
Complete necessary training to perform all job tasks including Operator Qualification compliance tasks as assigned Make recommendations to improve the system reliability and capabilities of AEO compressor stations and processing plants.
Assist in the design, installation, inspection, calibration and maintenance of all facilities and equipment associated with compressor stations, processing plants, and related equipment Ensure that AEO compressor stations, processing plants, associated equipment, and facilities are operating in a safe manner that is compliant with all applicable company and regulatory requirements.
Manage and coordinate work performed by contractors as it pertains to area of responsibility Review and ensure accuracy of all operations and maintenance records as it pertains to plant operations and other facilities as required.
Generate and complete any corrective and preventative maintenance work orders and processes Coordinate with AEO pipeline operations and producers to oversee seasonal station adjustments and respond to customer needs.
Coordinate with AEO pipeline operations team to support distribution and transmission customers throughout the AEO system Maintain strong knowledge of AEO Operations and Maintenance Manual and practices including the Emergency Manual.
Suggest improvements or revisions and assist with annual reviews as directed by management.
Respond to after-hours alarms and callouts, as needed.
Performs all other duties and special projects as requested by manager.
Assist Operations Departments with maintenance and other activities as needed.
Support Construction Services during extraordinary construction activities as needed.
Perform other duties as necessary within the department and the business unit to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the department in meeting its goals, objectives, and strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are: Experience with equipment or engine maintenance required.
Natural gas experience preferred.
Effective written and oral communication skills, and team-work skills.
Must be familiar with natural gas processing and compression operations Equipment and tools: Intermediate PC skills and typing ability including Microsoft Office experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering plans and specifications, technical procedures and manuals, and government regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Methods and Processes: Company policies, regulations and procedures; Department of Transportation regulations, knowledge of pipeline systems, writing and developing reports.
General AEO pipeline system and design; knowledge of compression, instrumentation and associated concepts.
Develop thorough knowledge of operation of AEO pipeline system.
