*Job Summary*

The Senior Software Engineer will wear many hats, working with stakeholders on the scoping of requirements, with peer engineering organizations on inter-system integrations, and working with offshore development teams to organize and coordinate major feature releases.
At this level the Senior Software Engineer will be expected to not only contribute expertise in coding but also to mentor and guide more junior engineers who are working on the same project.
They may be responsible for code reviews, training, and higher level architectural designs beyond the day-to-day of software development.
Additionally, they will have a larger responsibility to the platforms and systems themselves, often serving a critical support role during outages or major incidents.
*General responsibilities:*
* Collaborate with the stakeholders, users, offshore developers, and peer engineering organizations to design, develop, and implement high-quality software applications
* Focus on backend development leveraging .
Net Core (C#) and Microsoft SQL
* Maintain front-end application software using Javascript and JQuery
* Write and maintain technical documentation and frequent stakeholder communications
* Be responsible for all operational requirements for the production system.
* Participate and own all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.
* Optimize and enhance existing software applications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and scalability.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the use of the latest tools and technologies in the development process.

Requirements
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or sciences preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and delivering production software
* Experience with programming languages, including C#, Microsoft SQL, JavaScript and JQuery
* Experience with the various types of testing paradigms including automation frameworks
* Experience with the basics of deploying and maintaining a production environment
* Knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP)
* Capacity to work independently in all aspects of application design, implementation and deliv-ery
* Ability to problem-solving and use critical thinking
* Ability to handle conflict in a professional and courteous manner
* Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication, and customer service skills
* Work with peers and all departments for the common goals of the organization
* Reliable in meeting work commitments
* Must be flexible and adapt to most any situation
* Ability to utilize technology devices, software and application, previous experience with Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills required
* Reliable high speed home broadband internet connection with minimum 25 meg download and 10 meg upload speeds and ability to connect to home internet via ethernet cord is required if working remotely
* Ability to travel, less than 10%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.
