The Complex Welder is responsible for executing advanced welding tasks on a variety of metals, such as stainless steel, nickel alloy, and more.
The role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of diverse welding techniques in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
Essential Functions:
Skilled in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
Can handle traditional projects and execute most fit-ups as per AECO's requirements.
Proficient in advanced blueprint reading and interpretation of welding symbols.
Operates independently on a routine basis, with reliable judgment.
Ensures tasks are completed within the specified timeframes.
Requirements:
Competencies and Attributes Needed:
Ensure workmanship meets or surpasses ASME and AWS standards.
Effective in following both written and verbal directions.
Demonstrates accountability in independently managed projects, particularly for non-ASME tasks.
Passionate about continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Accountable for regular attendance and collaborative teamwork.
Requirements:
Familiarity with foundational welding principles.
Must have at least one certification in GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW welding techniques.
Aptitude in using other instruments like micrometers and calipers.
Physical Requirements:
The position demands physical endurance, which encompasses:
Predominantly standing.
Occasional lifting (weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds).
Tasks may also involve pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as required.
A standard shift duration is ten hours daily.
Safety requirements include wearing steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
Note: The plant facility is not equipped with air conditioning.
