Function:
The Inventory Control Analyst I will be a business partner with the plant management team by providing analytical, reporting and strategic support related to inventory and production.
The primary focus of the Inventory Control Analyst I is to ensure inventory movements and balances through Oracle ERP processes are accurate.
This includes ensuring inventory standard costs are updated and accurate, review and reporting of variances to standards, and recommending changes to current practices to enhance inventory controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as a business partner with plant management by providing accurate and timely reporting along with analytical and strategic support
Reviews production variances and updates inventory standard costs or works with operations to update production formulas and/or recipes when applicable
Maintains accurate and up to date inventory for all items used for production
Analyzes and reconciles any inventory discrepancy
Works closely with accounting team during month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely results
Posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems
Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks
Perform ad-hoc reporting/analysis and special projects as requested

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Ability to work independently or with a team and manage deliverables
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with other functional areas/levels within the organization
Understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis and internal controls
Ability to make assumptions, identify trends and draw conclusions from ambiguous data
Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments, use sound judgement and prioritize projects and time effectively with minimal supervision
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
Strong skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; Hyperion and Oracle experience a plus
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
