PLP’s newest location (formerly Pilot Plastics) is looking for entry-level Production Workers who will remove products from the press, perform visual inspections of molded products and then process them for shipment or transfer to the finishing department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify defects, such as air bubbles, warping, or other imperfections, and take corrective actions when needed.
Identify, properly contain, and label scrap/purging.
Clean work station and surrounding work areas to ensure the housekeeping and safety of the plant.
Perform any work deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Perform the essential functions of the job within acceptable OSHA and safety/ environmental regulations, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, procedures and applicable work instructions.
Shift Options:
Day shift (6 AM – 6 PM) or night shift (6 PM – 6 AM)
Requirements:
High School Diploma and/or G.
E.
D.
preferred.
Read and follow operating manuals; work instructions, master samples, process alerts and procedures.
Must be able to work and stand 12 hours a day
14-day rotational cycle in which each employee works 7 - 12 hour shifts.
The Schedule usually involves 4 teams that work 2 day/night shifts, then get 2 rest days, followed by 3 day/night shifts.
Regular Attendance and maintain a good attendance record
Zero to one year of prior manufacturing experience.
Ability to push, pull and lift 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, lifting and reaching for product.
Basic math skills and ability to use common measurement tools
Manual and finger dexterity.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
