Essential Job Functions – Responsibilities
Maximize team efficiency and engagement through effective coaching, team building, and mentoring
Work closely with the EHS Manager, HR and Director of Operations to ensure zero accident and health, security and safety is a top priority
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Create and maintain department metrics and run department reports
Develop training schedules and development plans for employees
Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action
Perform employee appraisals recommending merit increases, promotions, or awards and taking appropriate disciplinary action as necessary
Maintain records for employees in the department such as attendance and performance evaluations
Improve 1st pass yield through formal problem solving techniques
Ensure completion of work orders
Identify and facilitate continuous improvement activities for waste/cost reduction opportunities
Execute and ensure all engineering/change revisions are properly followed
Work with Operations Planning to optimize the production schedule and resources.
Follow all procedures to ensure ISO Certification is maintained Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe work area Maintain accurate blue prints and work instructions Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system Ensure shipments are on-time and accurate Strategically and proactively plan resources to meet long-term forecast Project annual budget and adhere to established budget Complete other responsibilities as assigned Education – Experience – Qualifications Bachelors or Associates degree preferred 10+ years of manufacturing experience in related industry Prior supervisory or management experience required Ability to contribute as an individual and as a team member Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handling frequent interruptions and shifting priorities Must be able to learn quickly and maintain a positive attitude even in the most difficult situations Must be assertive, able to identify problems and present solutions Excellent interpersonal skills needed to deal with a wide range of individuals Demonstrated effective communication skills: written, oral and inter-personal skills Ability to listen to the voice of the internal and external customer and act accordingly Ability to take initiative including asking for, and offering, help when needed Ability to influence others Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy Strong mechanical/electrical abilities including blue prints and schematics MS Office: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint Experience in an ISO certified environment required Ability to communicate fluently in English Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
