Job Summary:
The Lamination Operator is a third level position and requires knowledge of processes and equipment throughout the work area assigned.
The Lamination Operator can perform tasks such as Starting and Stopping the machine, loading recipes, loading and unloading of machine, and detailed inspection of sheets.
The Lamination Operator will also maintain the quality standard necessary for the next operation.
The Lamination Operator is the senior operator of the Lamination process.
Job Duties:
Runs orders to the schedule
Load recipes for all types of card constructions
Knows how to operate buffer tower and maintain batch integrity
Prepares sheets for loading into the Lamination machine
Load sheets into the Lamination machine
Able to operate Lamination station
Unload the Lamination machine
Inspect sheets, verify count, and stack
Make ticket transactions for production and completes all paperwork
Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
Accountabilities:
Reports to the shift Supervisor and receives direction from the Supervisor, Shift Lead, or Lamination Operator
Responsible for quality of finished work on the shift
Follows established safety and environmental compliance
Accountable for meeting the daily throughput of the machine
Responsible for general daily maintenance of the work area
Cleaning of work area at the beginning and end of shift
Job Specifications:
Exposure to shop noise
Required to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to operate mechanical machinery
Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
Flexibility on schedule (must be able to work overtime and on weekends on an as needed basis)
Ability to look at work being produced in high speed environment for extended periods of time
Adheres to MasterCard and Visa association security standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills
Good attendance habits
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform multiple tasks
Ability to comprehend written work instructions
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work within a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Basic computer skills
Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
